Open Call: 128KB goes Australia!

September 22, 2026

Radical Computing
National Communication Museum, Melbourne
Now until February 21, 2027

We’re excited to announce that some works from the 128KB platform will be exhibited as part of the Radical Computing exhibition at the National Communication Museum in Melbourne, Australia. Curated by Melanie Huang Buntine, Radical Computing is described as a “love letter to the personal computer and all those who tinker, weave, extend, hack, subvert, and make with the materiality of code.”

As part of this exhibition, we’re inviting creative coders to join the 128KB platform and submit their latest GIFs through an open call running until January 15, 2027. Every month, we’ll select a new batch of GIFs to be displayed in the gallery. Selected works will remain on display until the end of the exhibition on February 21, 2027.

To participate, create a profile on 128kb.eu/join and upload your GIFs to the platform. If you already have a profile, you can submit your work directly. The prompt (for humans) is the same as for all works submitted to 128KB:

The deadline for submissions is January 15, 2027.
